"...in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distress." ~ 2 Corinthians 6:4

Alright, one last piece of advice from our dorm room: If you decide to pretend that you got in a fight with your roommate and you place a duct tape line across your room to divide it in two, don't leave the line there for months and expect the tape to come off without leaving a nice bold line of duct tape goo across your floor.

School has been taking over our lives.

Thursday, March 24, 2005

Well, since we seem to be sharing stories from our smoothie place, here's another one for you. Today, the cashier was sliding Stephanie's ID card in the machine and her card just snapped in two. I'm pretty sure you'd have to have been there to truly appreciate how amusing it was. The poor lady just kept apoligizing over and over as she handed Stephanie's card back in pieces, but there was no need for apology for we got a good hearty laugh in. And now for the song of the day......this song is so good that it made it onto our semester cd two times!

"Worth The Wait" by Philmore
"We'll be standing face to face, everybody in the place
Says "I know they'll be happy"
And as we walk back up the aisle
I will turn to you and smile
Cause I know we'll be happy
And I will look to you and you will look to me
A million thoughts race through my head
But my smile is all you see
And I will stand beside you,
I'll hold your hand and say"
You were worth the wait"
Though I often stopped to ask God why
I always knew that He was right
When He told me to wait for you
When I was weak and couldn't see the way
I'd look ahead and see your face
And God would always bring me through
I had so many chances to throw it all away
But I knew if I stayed strong I'd meet you someday
I'd kneel and pray and I'd ask God to keep you safe
Because I knew you were worth the wait
It seemed so very hard sometimes,
but you were always on my mind
I couldn't bear to hurt you
So grab my hand and hold on tight,
we'll run together through the night
Just you and I
We'll be walking side by side,
I'll be yours and you'll be mine
And I know we'll be happy
I made the choice to wait for you,
you made the same decision too
And I know we'll be happy
We had so many chances to throw it all away
But we both stayed strong and God brought our lives together that one day
Now I kneel and pray and I thank God that you are safe
You were worth the wait"

I do enjoy that song a lot. It probably should have been on the cd more than two times.

Dear Blog: Yesterday we laid on our new purple rug... we talked and ate chocolate icecream. It was happy. Lovingly, Stephanie

Last fall Stephanie and I accumulated a group of songs that we enjoy, many of which we listened to over and over on road trips, and we put together a cd, so we'll have a song of the day from time to time off of that cd. Today we have.......
"Fishy Song" by Philmore
"Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever find her
The one that God's chosen for me
And what if I find her but she doesn't like me
I guess that disproves destiny
But I should know better, the sea is much wetter
With plenty of fishes to see (for you and me)
And I know my Father has scoped out the water
And picked out a fishy for me
Jesus has a girl for me, she's everything I want her to be

Jesus has a girl for me, I know He does, just wait and see
Jesus has a girl for me, she's everything I want her to be
Jesus has a girl for me, and I'll love her, and she'll love me
Once in a while I'm tempted to hook up

With any old Suzy or Jane
Who cares what she is like as long as she's pretty
I don't even have to know her name
But I should know better, the sea is much wetter
With plenty of fishes to see
And I know my Father has scoped out the water
And picked out a fishy for me
Jesus has a girl for me, I know He does because He told me

In His Word, the Bible, the desires of my heart
He'd give me
Every good and perfect gift we know is from above
But there is one gift that I haven't got, and that's the gift of love
Now I know Jesus loves me, and I am so in love with Him
But that's a different kind of love, love, love, than I've been thinking of
I want a girl with big brown eyes and smile so sweet
Where is the girl who loves Jesus as much as me"

Smoothie break today, eh?

Thursday, March 10, 2005

Andrea's a Horse.

Today, Andrea and I took a Smoothie Break today... like always. The girl knew what we were goin to order before we ordered! We walked up to the counter and she says, "number 5 and number 13." We laughed. Then she even knew what boosters we would get. I always get immune, even if I change up my smoothie flavor... and Andrea switches around her boosters but usually just gets engery, which is what the girl gave her. I was impressed... it also made me realize that I must frequent the smoothie place on campus too often...

On a side note, as we were paying, Andrea went first and then when it wasmy turn the man sas to me, while signalling back toward Andrea, "My wife races horses, that'd be a great name for a horse." I just kind of smiled at him and then I walked over to Flan and said, "What did you say to him?!" Mainly this story is funny because lately a girl from Cru has been calling Andrea a horse. She says, "Andrea's a horse!" (because she runs and bikes and is crazy.)

Well, fine... we had a good laugh anyway.

Post-it Note

Hey Andrea Rea,
I'll be back in a few hours. Just going for a walk. ;-)
Love,
Stephanie
